From "His Majesty's table beverage" to today's modern brewery

Because of a history invested in tradition, the Fürstlich Fürstenbergische Brauerei is one of the leading breweries in Baden-Württemberg. The state-of-the-art brewery in Donaueschingen is one of the largest in Germany and is the first to be awarded the certificate of quality confirmed by DIN ISO 9001 (1993). It has also received environmental certification by the DQS according to the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (1994). With four brands (Fürstenberg, Riegeler, Qowaz and Bären) and currently almost 20 different products, Fürstenberg offers one of the widest product ranges of all German breweries.
Since 2000 Fürstenberg has been the major shareholder in  the Riegeler brewery. The brewery's logistical and service responsibilities were transferred to FGS Getränke Service GmbH in 2002.

Following the integration of the Fürstlich Fürstenbergische Brauerei into Brau Holding International GmbH & Co. KGaA (BHI) in 2005, the latter has expanded still further in the German beer market. In the continuing pursuance of a tried and tested regional strategy, Fürstenberg purchased a majority share in the private brewery Schmucker in Mossautal in the Odenwald in 2006.

Fürstenberg Pilsener is offered as a major brand of draught beer by on trade accounts throughout Germany. Known as "One of the best beers in the world", the Premium Pilsener sells most of its volume in Baden-Württemberg.
